RIYADH: The Riyadh chapter of Tamil Nadu Thowheed Jamaath (TNTJ), a social service organization from the southern Indian state of Tamil Nadu, will conduct on Friday a blood donation drive at King Fahd Medical City (KFMC). The drive will take place between 10:30 a.m. and 5 p.m.
TNTJ is comprised of a group of Tamil-speaking youths whose aim is to serve the people. This is the eighth such blood drive organized by the group. In the past, blood donated in Riyadh was sent to Makkah and Madinah for Haj pilgrims. The group has also collected blood in August for Indian expatriates to honor their country’s Independence Day.
The drive is open to all donors who pass a health screening. Last year, 300 people donated blood during the campaign. Lunch has been arranged for the blood donors, the spokesman said.
